About Us
Our writer team creates pieces centered around three genres: poetry, fiction, and blog. These pieces can be about anything and everything, so you can write to your heart's content! On the Mumbles and Musings Instagram page, writers can have their pieces featured to share with others. In addition, writers (and readers!) can join our Discord Server, where we talk about everything writing. Get feedback on pieces, connect with other young writers, and stay tuned for some special events (coming soon!)

Name: Aahana Chowdhuri
Position: Admin
My name's Aahana! I'm a senior, and one of the founders of Mumbles and Musings. Writing is one of the keystones of my life; it has helped me understand my emotions and shape my voice. I want to encourage others to speak their truth with their writing. I've self-published my own book, The Colors of My Dreams, which is available on Amazon. I'm also published in Articulation Is Power, Vol. 1 (shoutout to Tyson Amir for helping me develop into a better writer!), and in 7SOG. Name: Rebecca
Position: Admin
Rebecca is a rising high school senior and aspiring computer scientist. However, she has always had a special love for books and writing, which is why she participated in the Articulation is Power program facilitated by Tyson Amir (author of Black Boy Poems) in the 2019-2020 school year. She recently got published in Articulation is Power Vol. 2 along with her peers in AIP. You can find her at phrdang.github.io.
Name: Urja Gathoo
Position: Admin
Urja has been an avid writer for years. Her computer is full of half-baked plot ideas and very rough drafts of stories about baby dragons and killer robots. She joined the Mumbles and Musings team to give young writers like herself a chance to share their voices with a larger audience while finding the support to continue improving their craft. Currently, she is published in the Articulation Is Power, Vol. 1 anthology and is in the process of publishing her debut novel, The Earth and the Skye. When she isn't typing away at her latest work, she loves to cook, bake, read (of course) and sing along (badly) to her favorite Broadway cast albums. You can find her @urja.gathoo on Instagram.

Position: Graphic Designer
Hiya! I'm Ysabelle (EE-sah-bell), one of the Graphic Designers for M&M. I love reading, writing, cheesy kdramas and gacha games. As an incoming uni freshman studying creative writing and general design, I hope to exploit everything I learn to propel Mumbles & Musings' growth.

Name: Emilie Suri
Position: Outreach Specialist
Hello! I'm Emilie, one of M&M's outreach specialists. My computer is littered with pieces of stories involving epic games, court intrigue, deception, and what's probably an unhealthy amount of magic. As of July 2020, I'm working on my debut novel, codenamed Stories Unfinished, which I hope to traditionally publish within the next 3 years. Aside from my love-hate relationship with writing, I bake, read, play the oboe, and love horse riding. You can find me on instagram at @stories.stardust. I look forward to working with you all!
