Gleam On - Daily Poem 14

Gleam On

Brightness

Brightness lights up the room

Shining, beaming

It pierces the voids of my eyes

Bathing

Basking in the light

Warming up myself

Melting the hardened exterior

Tar, it loosens and almost drips away

But seldom a drop comes off

But now, I am able to move

Be it up, down, right, left, but never back

The movements are sudden, rigid

But my own

To that light I do go

Walking becoming easier along the way

So this vessel has been awakened

So now there is some form inside

So I take some step in the right direction

So as to leave nothing of myself left

What of my past?

What of my future?

It matters not

Not until I see myself again.
