Elsewhere - Daily Poem 11
Elsewhere
Frolicking in the free fields
Dancing in the delicate daisies
Stampeding on sodden soil
Laying on little land
Yet my heart yearns for more
Needs it, compels it
Why do I feel this tugging?
Tugging to an elsewhere
An elsewhere never before seen
Pondering near pompous ponds
Thinking at disengaging places
I can no longer rationalize
I can only move
Move to an elsewhere
And leave a now behind
A now in peril
I like this poem. Short, but sweet. Surprising it got inspired by Romeo and Juliet. Written 1/18/19, tell me what ya think below!
ReplyDeleteI love the imagery in this poem. Especially this line "Yet my heart yearns for more
ReplyDeleteNeeds it, compels it Why do I feel this tugging?"
