Alien

You cannot see me.

But I see you.

I have never lived here.

But you have.

You have never seen what lies beyond.

And I have come from afar.

I have never seen the wind,

It flows and pulls.

It drags and fills.

My heart with

A wonder

I have never felt before.

I have never seen the sky,

So blue, so perfect

But even perfection

Can be corroded.

I have never seen the clouds,

Laden in the blue

Filled with an icy

Chilly hue

Their whiteness

Drained of its energy

Sapped of strength

Rejuvenated with a sizzling ire

They rumble, they hiss

Striking the ground

All its perfection

Eroded with the wind

I have never touched the ground

Hovering in the air

It feels like home

Warm and sweet

Filled with love

To kindle and keep

I have never seen a tree

So massive

So royal

He stands tall and watches

Unmoving and regal

Staring in to the deep deep

At last

I have never seen the sun.

For even now

It stands, covered by the smog

Amidst all the war.

You live here

Yet you do not protect it.

You speak of humanity.

Of rights

Of freedom

Of liberty

But they are all just words

That you like to say.

Empty.

So, how can you be human?

If you take lives

Like the tree standing regal

And the swimming sharks

And the flying birds.

Bang. Bang. Bang

How can you be human?

If you are so selfish,

That it poisons your heart.

Orchestrating your own extinction

For foolish gains.

I may not live here

But you do.

For without the Earth

You won’t anymore.

Bang. Bang-
