I Accept the Light

I accept the light

And with it

I accept the consequences


I accept the shadows that hide the secrets

I accept that I may never see the true face in the darkness

I accept the darkness that comes with it


I accept the differences

I accept the many new feelings

I accept the ability to fully see my surroundings


I accept the colors

I accept the grays

I accept the multiple levels of good and bad


I reject the void

And with it

I reject its pleasures


I reject being blind to my surroundings

I reject only seeing people of how I want to see them

I reject not seeing the wrongs


I reject black and white

I reject things being only one or the other

I reject good or evil to be only pure


I reject the sameness

I reject the ignorance

I reject only being blissful

    Hi, since I made a lot of depressing poems, I figured I should make something uplifting, so this was made. I'm pretty sure I thought this on a walk back home from school. This was written 3/13/18. Let me know what you think!

    I really like how you touch on how people aren't just "good" or "evil", there's always a mix of both, some sort of nuance.
