How about that?

I saw that you looked down

So I offered to bring you a clown

To bring a smile to that frowny face

How about that?


I saw that you weren’t feeling right

Saw that you couldn’t stand up with all your might

So I gave you a hand, so you could lean on me

How about that?


I saw that you weren’t talking

So I asked when we were walking

I helped you feel better about yourself

How about that?


When you couldn’t come to the party

I set up our own one, you called me a smarty

Saw you grinning, despite you being in bed

How about that?


When your friends ditched you

I stuck by, doing what they wouldn’t do

Looked at a future where we could be more

How about that?


When it rained at our last date

You left, thinking it was destined by fate

I waited calmly, for your return

How about that?


So after all I’ve done

Why won’t you come back

I’ve done everything for you...

Is it because of that?

    So second poem of mine. This was written 1/27/20. This was for Natsuki, and I really didn't do her simpler style of poem well. Here's an explanation too: It's basically this loyal friend to eventually girlfriend who had everything thrown away because of one bad thing she did, and that's the "that" she refers to at the end. Please tell me your thoughts below!
